It's Too Late EP

This EP seems to have arrived a few months late as it conjures to the mind palm trees, white sands and beach parties. Sultry love-sick vocals from Natalie slide through very summery beats courtesy of sibling Elliot Bergman. Though the three tracks feel similar, they're distinct enough thanks to the variety of chilled out melody and beat trickery.

It feels like an antithesis to another band with a similar sound: Little Dragon and their 2011 album, 'Ritual Union', which erred too much on the side of minimalism making their songs sadly a chore to listen to and detracting from Yukimi's luscious vocals. Wild Belle's EP by contrast maintains a rich palette for Natalie to serenade over. Here's hoping for more sunshine beats from them soon.
