Neil Halstead

Tied To You

A great single off the album Palindrome Hunches, featuring Neil's rugged heartfelt voice playing over a rain-slicked montage of gritty New York, some corn fields at sunset and probably a withered old man staring mournfully at the camera as if he's in a trendy controversial Gap advert.

Neil comes from shoegaze roots from his Slowdive days, and I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping for more in that style, but this folk and blues style track is still a quality and moving song. Mark Van Hoen’s remix brings a momentum to the song with a groovy beat.
