Florence + the Machine to set new Ricoh Arena record

Florence + the Machine to set new Ricoh Arena record

Florence + The Machine's concert at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry next month will set a new indoor record at the venue.

The award-winning band will be performing in front of a sell-out crowd of 12,000 in the Jaguar Hall ' smashing the previous best of 10,000 ' at the gig on Saturday, December 8.

Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena, said the Jaguar Hall was one of few venues in the UK to have the capacity for 12,000 standing.

'When Bryan Adams played the first indoor concert when we opened seven years ago the capacity was 8,300 but we have been able to increase it to 12,000 by investing in a new entrance and adding additional exit routes,' she said.

'We are established as a key player when it comes to stadium bowl concerts, however, our 12,000 capacity gives us a great opportunity to secure more indoor high-profile concerts following on from our successful gigs including Scouting for Girls, Radio 1Xtra, Deadmau5, The Specials and The Enemy.
.
'All the 12,000 tickets for Florence + The Machine have been snapped up and it is going to be a cracking atmosphere in there.

'The Ricoh Arena is the only venue in the UK to have an indoor arena and stadium bowl for outdoor gigs on one site which is a fact we are very proud of.'
