Mick Jagger: I'm grounded
Mick Jagger tries not to 'get carried away' by his exponential success.
The 69-year-old Rolling Stones rocker has been a figurehead in the music industry since the 1960s.
Mick and his bandmates Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood are currently celebrating the release of their upcoming HBO documentary Crossfire-Hurricane. The film showcases the 50 years of rock and roll history that the group has created.
Mick is aware of his status as an icon, but he won't let prestige run his life.
'You just enjoy what you do and don''t get too carried away with it... don't get carried away with yourself too much,' he told Extra.
'I did in my early days. now I'm sort of grounded.'
Mick even emulates other music icons in the feature.
The musician admits that his Elvis Presley impersonation needs some work.
'It's a terrible impression,' he laughed. 'You''ll see. It's so bad.'
Crossfire-Hurricane will premiere on HBO November 15.
