Comedy stars stand up for Shelter
A stellar line up of comedians including Tim Minchin and Alistair McGowan are coming together for Stand up for Shelter ' a unique night of comedy on Wednesday 27 February 2013 at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.
Completing the line-up will be Stewart Francis, Sara Pascoe and The Cuban Brothers, with all acts performing for one night only to raise money for the housing and homelessness charity. The evening will be hosted by Christian O'Connell, breakfast presenter at Absolute Radio, the official radio station for Stand Up for Shelter.
Tickets for this one-off night of comedy are just £30 and go on sale today (Friday 16th November) at shelter.org.uk/standup.
Over 75,000 children are homeless in Britain today, living in cramped and run-down accommodation, including hostels or B&Bs. This has a devastating impact on their health, education and future chances in life. Every ticket sold for Stand Up for Shelter will support the charity's work to help homeless families find a safe and stable home.
Christian O'Connell, Breakfast Show Presenter Absolute Radio said, 'The greatest laugh of the night might be at me - desperately trying to hold this motley crew together.'
