Mariah Carey raising 'glamorous' girl
Mariah Carey's daughter is "prissy and glamorous" just like her mother, says Nick Cannon.
The superstar singer and her husband Nick welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe in April 2011. They are enjoying seeing the tots' personalities emerge as they get older, with Nick joking Monroe is definitely her mother's daughter.
"We've got two, so I think we kind of got a little bit of each of us," he told Parade, when asked for the youngsters take after. "My daughter is probably more like me, and my son is more like my wife in certain areas. But then obviously, my daughter is definitely into feminine, prissy, glamorous things like her mother."
Nick has enjoyed success as a radio DJ and TV host, as well as in the acting and singing realms. His schedule is busy, but the 32-year-old always keeps in mind what is most important in his life.
Earlier this year he experienced a period of ill health, when his kidneys began to fail and he got a blood clot on his lung. He was eventually told he has an autoimmune disease, which put things in perspective for the star.
"Family comes first. That's really what it is, and then everything else kind of works around that," he explained. "As long as we prioritise and make sure our kids and each other are first, then our occupations come after that, even though we're extremely busy. We take the time out to make sure we focus on each other when we need to."
