Cyrus seeks restraining order for trespasser

Miley Cyrus is seeking a permanent stay away order for the man jailed last month for trespassing on her property.
Jason Luis Rivera jumped the fence surrounding Miley's Los Angeles home in September and ran around the yard wielding scissors. He said the reason for his unwelcome visit was because he wanted to see the star.
Rivera received a maximum sentence of 18 months in jail for criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.
He initially pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanour charges. The judge set his bail at $100,000 and made it clear that he was not to come within 500 yards of Miley at any time.
Deputy City Attorney Joshua Geller advised the star's legal team to immediately seek a restraining order.
The 19-year-old star was granted a temporary order on October 30, TMZ reports.
According to the website, she is now seeking a permanent stay away order should Rivera get an early release.
The order in place states Rivera must stay at least 1,000 yards away from the star.
A hearing has been scheduled for later this month to determine if the order will be made permanent.
