Rihanna: I embrace happiness
Rihanna is committed to being happy no matter what people think of her choices.
The Umbrella hitmaker caused controversy after announcing this week that her new studio album, Unapologetic, will feature a track with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, entitled Nobodies Business (sic).
Rihanna and Chris split in 2009 after he was convicted of assaulting her and the pair fuelled rumours of reconciliation after he split from girlfriend Karrueche Tran last month.
With the music video of her new single Diamonds set to premier on MTV Thursday, Rihanna has revealed that she will pursue her own happiness at all costs.
"I think a lot of people are afraid of being happy because of what others might think of it,' she told MTV News.
'They're afraid to embrace that and embrace themselves and love themselves and do what they love and do what makes them happy. My story is definitely going to be a happily ever after, no matter what."
Rihanna is proud of Diamonds.
She believes the song is representative of her deepest emotions.
"It was the right powerful record," she said.
"It was hopeful. It was also different from what people are used to hearing from me. It was a song that meant something, and that's the whole theme throughout the album.'
Rihanna's new record Unapologetic will be officially released November 19.
