Robyn: I can't write songs on tour

Robyn can't write new music while she is on tour as "it doesn't work".

The Swedish star explained why she hasn't released any fresh material for two years.

The blonde songstress is now ready to stop touring and concentrate on penning new releases.

"Touring and writing doesn't work," Robyn told the BBC's Newsbeat. "I'm coming off the road so I can release something quicker."

Robyn has been performing solidly since the release of her three Body Talks albums in 2010.

With promotion for the third instalment of the Body Talk series coming to an end, the star is now thinking about doing something new.

Rather than feel pressured about releasing another album, the star joked that she's just happy there is a demand for it from her fans.

"Everyone's asking when there will be new stuff: The labels I work with, the fans, the journalists," Robyn explained.

"To be honest, I'm just happy someone cares."

The date of a new album is not yet known.
