Blake Shelton: Distance improves my marriage
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert would "kill each other" if they were together all the time.
The country stars wed on a ranch in Texas in May 2011. Although they have been married for almost 18 months, they haven't seen each other all that much.
Miranda estimates they have only spent 150 days together, although both stars think it's made their marriage stronger.
"[If we spend too much time together] we'll kill each other," Blake joked.
The couple have managed to see each other a little more recently. They have been spending time at their rented Hollywood home, which Blake stays in while shooting his TV show The Voice.
Juggling their schedules can be hard for the stars, so they have implemented a strict rule to ensure they don't grow apart.
"We won't go more than two weeks without seeing each other," Miranda explained.
The musicians are currently gearing up for Thursday night's Country Music Association Awards. Both are in the running for four prizes, with Miranda nominated for the Female Vocalist of the Year gong and Blake up for the male version.
The stars have each triumphed in their respective categories for the last two years running
