Steven Tyler denies ending engagement
Steven Tyler has dismissed reports he has split from fiancée Erin Brady.
The Aerosmith frontman proposed in Hawaii last December.
According to the New York Post, the 64-year-old singer quietly ended the relationship while preparing for the second leg of the band's Global Warming Tour.
'Steven has quietly ended it with his fiancée,' a source told the US newspaper.
The insider said the rocker is focused on staying sober.
Reports of the split come amid claims Steven found it difficult maintaining a relationship with the 38-year-old on the road.
'Steven has been trying to maintain his lifestyle and to stay clean. The tour is really important to him and the band. So he decided to end it,' the source said.
A representative for Aerosmith did not deny there was trouble in the relationship.
However, the spokesman said Steven and Erin remain engaged to be married.
'Just as any couple goes through trials and tribulations in a relationship, Steven and Erin are asking for their privacy at this time. They are engaged to be married and each is committed to their sobriety,' a statement read.
The representative added that any claim to the contrary is 'absolutely false and misleading'.
The marriage would be Steven's third.
