Bestival presents Blades of Glory at Somerset House

As part of Club Nights, the late night live soundtrack to Skate at Somerset House, Bestival are inviting London's party people out for a rare Bestival bonanza on ice!

Party-goers will be able to mooch about at the bar, feeling suave, drinking fine cocktails and comparing skating techniques, before they hit the ice and show off their fine skating prowess, framed by the stunning Georgian backdrop of Somerset House.

Providing the ideal tunes for the occasion, Rob da Bank will be bringing along not just his own record bag, but also two of the latest signings to his 'Sunday Best' label, dan le sac and Tythe, to accompany him on the decks; a veritable triumvirate of excellence, to befit a palace of such splendour!

But it wouldn't be a Bestival party without a bit of colour, dazzle and spandex, so da Bank is laying down the gauntlet to you skaters to come dressed in your very finest skating attire. In his own words: 'We're always up for something a bit different at Bestival HQ so love the idea of a skate party complete with fluoro leggings and lycra balaclavas... Oh yes! We're gonna be painting the ice psychedelic colours by the end of the night.'

Think Torvil and Dean do Vegas; think Tonya Harding does Disney Land, think Blades of Glory! We're talking onesies, lycra, sequins, tassels, wigs. you get the picture. And for those of you who don't fancy a skate, you can simply rock up in your most flashy AprГЁs-Ski attire and soak up the atmosphere rink-side from the comfort of Tom's Skate Lounge, if you wish!
